Russell Brand Urges Voters To Choose Trump

Russell Brand, an English actor and comedian, has supported former president Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, citing democracy and freedom.

Brand, known for his political views, has expressed shock at the fact that anyone who values democracy will choose President Joe Biden over Trump.

“In a straight choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, if you care about democracy, if you care about freedom, I don’t know how you could do anything other than vote for Donald Trump for precisely the reasons that they claim that you can’t,” Brand said in a preview clip of the episode.

Brand made this remark in a new episode of his podcast “Stay Free with Russell Brand,” scheduled to premiere on Friday. The comedian sat down with model, author and Republican National Committee spokeswoman Elizabeth Pipko for an interview discussing Trump’s trial and convictions.

“They act as if a vote for Donald Trump is almost like you’re directly voting for Armageddon like you see hysterical performances outside of courtrooms, endless MSNBC bombast,” Brand said. “But I’m starting to think that, no, a greater threat to democracy is this kind of technological feudalism that tells you that it cares about you and that it’s protecting vulnerable people.”

The Hollywood star, who has been vocal against censorship, also condemned the snobbery shown by liberals towards Trump supporters. He also accused Trump’s opponents of criminalizing him through the legal system.

The fix was in from the beginning.

“For a long time, Elizabeth, I’ve been concerned about the snobbery and the contempt and condemnation in which people that support Donald Trump are held by his detractors,” Brand said. “And this is while you have an administration that’s emulating his policies, plagiarizing from Donald Trump, while simultaneously criminalizing him from the weaponization of the legal system.”

Brand has been an outspoken activist on many fronts over recent years, including politics, religion and spirituality. The famous celebrity recently made headlines for being baptized after announcing he was turning to Christianity.
