Pelosi’s Secret Confession On January 6 Protest Revealed

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has taken responsibility for the National Guard’s delayed response to the January 6 Capitol protest three years after the incident.

Pelosi admitted to taking responsibility in an unreleased footage captured by her daughter, Alexandria Pelosi. Although the video was never publicly released and was not shared with the January 6 Committee during their investigation. Instead, it was recently provided to the House Republicans by Home Box Office (HBO).

The video supports former President Donald Trump’s claims that Pelosi was responsible for the lack of security preparations ahead of the protest. The former president had offered to deploy the National Guard days before the protest but was refused.

“We have responsibility, we did not have any accountability for what was going on there. And we should have. Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” She said. “I take responsibility for not having the National Guard just prepare for war.”

In the video, Pelosi then scolds her staffer Terri McCullough for asking her amid the protest if they should call in the National Guard.

“You’re gonna ask me in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff, ‘Should we call the Capitol Police?’ I mean the National Guard. Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” Pelosi said.

According to Fox News, Pelosi then appears to take a shot at Trump’s supporters, who ransacked part of the Capitol, including her office.

“It’s stupid that we should be in a situation like this because they thought they had what- they thought these people would act civilized? They thought these people would give a damn?” Pelosi said. “What is it that is missing here in terms of anticipation? They give us a piece of paper that says walk through the tunnel; don’t walk outside. That’s your preparation?”

Despite this admission, Pelosi rejected Republican nominees for the January 6 Committee and instead selected two anti-Trump Republicans, leading to a one-sided investigation that ignored her role in the protest.
