Democrats Hypocrisy Exposed In Latest Report

Daily Report April 13,2024

The Democrat party just showed the depth of its hypocrisy after reports revealed members of the party were secretly doing what they criticized former President Donald Trump for doing.

According to reports on Axios, financial filings showed that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) paid President Joe Biden’s legal bills accrued from the investigation into the president’s classified document mishandling.

From July 2023 to February 2024, the DNC paid around $1.05 million to Bob Bauer PLLC. The firm is a professional limited liability company for Biden’s lead attorney, Bob Bauer.

The payment largely funded Bauer’s handling of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s probe into the president’s handling of classified documents.

A large part of the payment also went into paying Bauer for bringing David Laufman on board. Laufman is a veteran lawyer and former Justice Department official who previously led the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Hur’s final report, which was released in February, identified Jennifer Miller as one of Joe Biden’s attorneys. The DNC last July reportedly increased its monthly payment to Miller’s law firm, Hemenway & Barnes, from $15,000 to $100,000.

In an effort to spin the report, DNC spokesperson Alex Floyd claimed the committee did not use grassroots donors’ money on legal bills.

“There is no comparison — the DNC does not spend a single penny of grassroots donors’ money on legal bills,” Floyd said.

The latest revelation comes after Democrat operatives and politicians have criticized Trump for using campaign donations to fund his legal bills. Biden’s campaign finance chair, Rufus Gifford, recently told MSNBC that every dime raised for reelecting Joe Biden will be used to fund his campaign and not pay his legal fees.

“Every single time you give to the campaign, we’re going straight to talk to voters…We are not spending money on legal bills or hawking gold sneakers,” Gifford said.

The Republican Nation Committee (RNC) began paying some Trump’s legal fees in 2021, raising fierce criticism from Democrats.

“If we were the RNC’s donors, we would certainly be asking questions,” a DNC spokesperson told The New York Times in 2021.

According to Axios, the DNC began debating whether to cover Biden’s legal fees in January 2023 after the DOJ appointed Hur to the case.
