Biden Campaign Storms Trump’s Trial: A Major Mistake

After days of ignoring former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial, President Joe Biden’s campaign showed up outside Trump’s trial on Tuesday.

The unexpected move, which happened on the day of Trump’s trial closing arguments, had actor Robert De Niro as a special guest.

The decision by Biden’s campaign has been tagged a “stupid mistake” by political strategist Karl Rove, who believes the campaign’s decision will politicize the trial.

“Stupid mistake by the Biden campaign,” Rove said. “They wanted to get in there while all the cameras were there; they wanted to get their moment in the sun. It was a big mistake. It politicized the trial. And then what was said, with all respect to De Niro, a wonderful actor?”

De Niro, who has always been a vocal critic of Trump, told reporters on Tuesday that Trump wants to destroy not only the city but the whole world.

“I don’t mean to scare you. No, wait, maybe I do mean to scare you. If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss those freedoms goodbye that we all for granted,” De Niro said. “And elections. Forget about it. That’s over. If he gets in, he will never leave.”

Reacting to De Niro’s statement, Rove expressed concerns about whether this move would attract new voters to support Biden’s re-election efforts when some democrats are worried about the president’s chance of winning the election.

“Are those the kind of credible statements that will cause people who don’t like Biden and don’t like Trump but are trying to figure out who to vote for? They say, “Jeez, you told me he wanted to destroy the country?” Rove asked. “The people who believe that are already in Biden’s camp. That’s not who they should be trying to reach out to.”

However, it was revealed that Biden’s campaign showed up to the trial to refocus the presidential race to the January 6 protest.

“He came close in a moment of talking about Jan. 6 and talking about the officers, but that might have had an impact, but this was so over the top as to simply be useless,” Rove said. “What stupid mistake on the part of the Biden campaign. More reason why Democratic leaders will probably be concerned that he is the nominee, likely nominee of their party.”
