FBI Planned To Use Deadly Force in Mar-A-Lago

Daily Report May 22,2024

The FBI’s 2022 raid on the home of former President Donald Trump could have turned deadly after reports emerged that agents were instructed to use “deadly force” during the raid.

According to the Daily Mail, a new court filing unsealed on Tuesday revealed that federal agents were prepared to use ‘deadly force” during the search of the former president’s home in Mar-a-Lago.

“Law enforcement officers with the Department of Justice may use deadly force when necessary…” the Operation Order order reads.

The unsealed filing showed that agents were instructed to bring “Standard Issue Weapon[s],” “Ammo,” “Handcuffs,” and “medium and large-sized bolt cutters” to Trump’s home.

On Tuesday, the FBI told Fox News that it followed its standard protocol in executing the search.

Trump, following his Tuesday New York court appearance, responded to the latest revelation on his Truth Social Account.

“WOW! I just came out of the Biden Witch Hunt Trial in Manhattan, the ‘Icebox,’ and was shown Reports that Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, in their Illegal and UnConstitutional Raid of Mar-a-Lago, AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE,” Trump posted on his Truth Social account. “NOW WE KNOW, FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY. HE IS MENTALLY UNFIT TO HOLD OFFICE — 25TH AMENDMENT.”

“The FBI followed standard protocol in this search as we do for all search warrants, which includes a standard policy statement limiting the use of deadly force. No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter,” The agency said.

Former Secret Service agent and popular conservative podcast Dan Bongino blasted the FBI’s statement while maintaining that the situation could have turned very ugly if the Secret Service had pushed back.

It was not a standard op. The MAL raid was an unprecedented action with significant potential for confusion and blue-on-blue issues and conflict,” Bongino wrote on X. “It also involved competing equities between federal agencies (FBI & USSS) with equal statutory claims to interrupt the other’s activities. Anyone telling you otherwise is either dumb, or playing dumb. Only a dumbass would pitch the ‘it’s the standard paperwork’ line. Go serve a search warrant at the White House in the cocaine case while filling out your “standard paperwork” and see how that works out for you. Wake up.
