AOC Lands In Hot Water Again 

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) found herself in the middle of a social media storm after she made a ridiculous claim about former President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, Trump stormed Ocasio-Cortez’s backyard in a Bronx rally that many say is reminiscent of President Ronald Reagan’s rally in 2024.

Before the former president’s monumental rally, Ocasio-Cortez appeared on Spectrum News NY1 —a New York-focused news station—to discuss the rally. The radical lawmaker suggested that Trump could allow energy companies to raise gas prices if his campaign is successful.

“we just saw that the former president met with oil executives last week, saying ‘Hey, you give me a billion dollars, and I’ll make sure that you get the policies that are favorable to raising gas prices and making sure that a lot of these companies continue to price gouge without proper oversight or regulation,’” Ocasio-Cortez said. “So, the idea that he’d be bringing those down when he’s cashing in from the same folks that are bringing those prices up, I think is a little bit suspect. And again, I think the Bronx sees through it.”

Social media users on X responded to the Democrat lawmaker’s claim with fierce criticism, with many calling her a liar.

“Biden all but destroyed the energy sector in the U.S. to implement the Green New Deal despite the majority of voters opposing it,” one X user wrote. “@AOC is lying. She wants you to forget gas prices and grocery prices were much better under Trump.’

New York Councilwoman Vickie Paladino blasted Ocasio-Cortez’s statement, noting that everything the Democratic party has done in her state has raised gas prices.
