Wife Of FDNY Chief Officer OFFENDED By President Biden’s 9/11 Speech

Daily Report September 11,2024

At a memorial service for her deceased husband, the wife of an FDNY chief that was killed during 9/11 laid into President Biden over his recent “doan 9/11” comment and condemned how government officials have handled plea bargaining with terrorists implicated in the attack.

At the ceremony, Barbara — whose husband Gerard A. Barbara died in 9/11 attacks nearly eight years ago — delivered an emotional plea for “those with information” to step forward and face justice. “Your elected officials who are here today celebrating 9/11, or — in our president’s words –do 9/11,” she told a crowd at the base of WTC7.

Barbara also talked about the families of all 2,977 victims who feel that pain every day. “9/11 families do it every day — 12 years later,” she said, and centered the conversation on those who lost loved ones as a result of what happened.

Barbara also sounded off on the “outrageous” plea deal that was all but a done deal with the professed architect of 9/11 and two co-defendants. The deal, which aroused substantial opposition, was rescinded on August 2 by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

“If not for the 9/11 families, who knows what would have transpired? It has been 23 years and the families deserve justice and accountability,” Barbara said.
