Tulsi Gabbard Blasts Biden Over Trump Prosecution

Daily Report August 30,2023

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (I-HI) criticized President Joe Biden over his Justice Department’s persistent prosecution of former President Donald Trump.
Gabbard, in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, accused the Biden administration of politicizing the Justice Department to serve its own interests.
“We can recognize that they are directly and intentionally undermining that very foundation of our democracy, which is the rule of law,” Gabbard said. “And they are doing it in two ways. Number, specifically to go after political opponents namely Donald Trump, Donald Trump supporters. And Number two, to protect themselves, to protect Joe Biden, to protect Hunter Biden, to protect their personal and political allies.”

Gabbard, who recently left the Democrat party, added that the American people need to recognize the threat the Biden’s DOJ poses to America’s democracy.

“The American people need to recognize very clearly what is happening here, the threat to our democracy and we have to make the decision to put a stop to this, to not allow this to go on,” Gabbard added. “Because otherwise, we’ll find ourselves in a situation in the United States of America where this is now the new norm. Whatever party becomes the party in power will say, ‘Hey, look, the last guy did this. We can use the power of law enforcement, we can use our Department of Justice to go after political opponents.”
The former Congresswoman, who was one of Biden’s 2020 Democratic challengers, also took to her Twitter page to accuse Joe Biden of using the federal government to go after his political opponents.

“A death rattle of any democracy is when a sitting president uses that state security apparatus to go after political opponents and cover up lies and crimes committed by himself or his family. Biden is doing that now,” Gabbard wrote. “His actions make it clear he believes himself to be not the enforcer of the rule of law but the exception to it.”
