Trump New Ad Takes Aim At Harris Regarding Bidenomics

Daily Report August 18,2024

This week, former President Donald Trump’s campaign released a hard-hitting new ad that puts the spotlight squarely on Vice President Kamala Harris and her full-throated support for “Bidenomics.” This ad gives vivid expression to frustrations millions of Americans have felt about economic hardship under the Biden-Harris administration.

The ad shows Harris beaming with pride, saying, “That is called Bidenomics,” preceded and followed by news clips of what that will truly mean to everyday Americans.

The first clip is about the surge in inflation, the highest in nearly 40 years our country has faced.

Then, as gas prices continue to soar, political commentator Ana Kasparian is seen saying, “We’re still dealing with inflation, and we’ve got super high interest rates at the same time.”

The commercial cuts to Harris saying, “Bidenomics is working.”

She also later says, “And we are very proud of Bidenomics.”

But for millions of Americans, it’s hard to see how. At a time when inflation is squeezing and interest rates have touched the roof, making life tougher, the ad does not shy away from the grim reality of two-thirds of Americans struggling to get by.

The ad comes as Harris has unveiled her own economic policies as the Democratic presidential candidate in what is seen as a rebranding of her failed leadership alongside President Joe Biden.

While Harris is attempting to wash her hands clean of the havoc Bidenomics has wreaked on the American people and distancing herself from Biden’s failures regarding the economy, the Trump campaign is hammering on how she is the president’s co-pilot and is culpable for the administration’s failures.

On Aug. 2, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “Kamala Harris has proudly and repeatedly celebrated her role as Joe Biden’s co-pilot on ‘Bidenomics. She cast tie-breaking votes in the Senate for spending that put inflation on steroids, and despite the evidence that America’s working families are hurting, she tells us these failed plans are working.”

“The basic necessities of food, gas and housing are less affordable, unemployment is rising, and Kamala doesn’t seem to care,” she added.
