After six weeks of trial, former President Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 felony counts by the jury in his hush money trial on Thursday. The jury found the former president guilty of falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the presidential election in 2016.
Republican Congressman Has a Great Idea: RNC Should Nominate Trump on July 4th
"What are they so afraid of? Why are they so afraid of Trump?"
"Well, because they know that he can win and he’s gonna take back the presidency and he will change the corruption in the deep state. He… pic.twitter.com/lRxLWtuXoC

/div>Justice Juan Merchan, the presiding judge over the case, set a sentencing date of July 11, a few days before the start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Each of the 34 counts carries a $5000 fine, and the former president could face up to four years in prison.
However, a remarkable coincidence emerged, linking Trump to a remarkable and heroic figure.
Trump’s verdict comes on the same day as the feast day of Joan of Arc, the patron saint of prisoners and a hero to many patriots.
Joan Arc was a French heroine who led the French army to victory. On May 30, 1941, Joan was burned at the stake in Rouen, France, after being condemned as a heretic.
Joan is remembered for her courage, conviction and patriotism. Her feast day, which is always celebrated on May 30, is a tribute to her legacy as a hero of justice and freedom.
It is not a coincidence that Trump’s guilty verdict was delivered on the same day as the feast day of Joan of Arc. This means that both Trump and Joan are seen as victims of corrupt and biased systems.
In America, our election process is supposed to end with an ELECTION, not with throwing your opponent in jail. This is an all-out assault on our Constitution and the rule of law pic.twitter.com/Ev3T07XIUG

In addition, the former president’s guilty verdict sparked outrage among the Republicans and the majority of Trump supporters. They argued that the verdict was an attack on the former president.
This was a sham show trial. The Kangaroo Court will never stand on appeal.
Americans deserve better than a sitting U.S. President weaponizing our justice system against a political opponent— all to win an election.
We must FIRE Joe Biden in November.

Shortly after the trial, Trump slammed the trial as rigged and disgraceful in a statement to the media.
“This was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt as a rigged trial, a disgrace,” Trump said. “They wouldn’t give us a venue change. We were at 5 percent or 6 percent in this district, in this area. This was a rigged, disgraceful trial.”
Judge Juan Merchan gave the most bizarre set of jury instructions I have ever heard. They were designed to lead to conviction. If this isn’t reversible error, reversible error does not exist.

Despite the verdict, the former president has promised to fight till the end.
“And we’ll keep fighting. We’ll fight till the end, and we’ll win,” Trump said. “Because our country’s gone to hell. We don’t have the same country anymore. We have a divided mess. We’re a nation in decline, serious decline.”
