Former President Donald Trump called out Taylor Swift in a statement on his Truth Social platform Sunday. Trump stated that the Music Modernization Act (MMA) he signed into law in 2018 made the singer-songwriter gain so much money.
He also claimed that she wouldn’t endorse President Joe Biden’s re-election bid and that Biden didn’t do anything for her and never will.
“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will,’ Trump said. “There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal and probably can’t stand me!”
JUST IN: Donald Trump says Taylor Swift should be endorsing him, likes Travis Kelce‼️👀

Breitbart reports that Trump signed the MMA into law in 2018. The bill is designed to ensure artists are adequately compensated for their music when played or consumed online.
However, Taylor Swift has not endorsed a candidate in the 2024 presidential race. Four years ago, the singer gave her full support to Biden and his Vice, Kamala Harris.
Dina LaPolt, an attorney behind the MMA, argued in a statement on Sunday that Trump did nothing on their legislation except to sign it.
“This claim is funny to me,” she wrote. “Trump did nothing on our legislation except sign it and doesn’t even know what the Music Modernization Act does. Someone should ask him what the bill actually accomplished.”
However, neither Swift nor her partner Travis Kelce has commented publicly on Trump’s statement.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) described Trump’s claim as outrageous in a Sunday interview.
“Look, Taylor Swift is one of the great American success stories. We should be celebrating her, not having all these crazy conspiracy theories,” Christie said. “But this is the kind of thing that Donald Trump brings about.”
