President-elect Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth, his potential defense secretary nominee, are scheduled to attend the Army-Navy game together this Saturday, according to recent reports.

The anticipated meeting, revealed by The Washington Post through sources close to Hegseth, will take place at Landover, Maryland, in the vicinity of Washington, D.C.

Trump has recently expressed his ongoing confidence in Hegseth through social media, stating the nominee is doing “very well.”

In recent days, Hegseth, who previously served as an Army National Guard officer, has been actively engaging with senators on Capitol Hill to strengthen his support base. His efforts to secure backing for the Pentagon leadership role appear to be gaining momentum.

Although his confirmation remains uncertain, his position has improved significantly compared to the previous week.

The upcoming Army-Navy game meeting follows a recent incident where ProPublica, a nonprofit investigative news organization, nearly published inaccurate information about Hegseth’s West Point admission status. The story was halted after Hegseth provided his admission letter, as reported by Breitbart News.

The Saturday game at the Washington Commanders stadium will also include Representative Michael Waltz (R-FL), Trump’s selection for national security adviser, who will join Hegseth at the Maryland venue.
