In a disturbing revenge porn incident, an 18-year-old woman from Texas found herself under arrest after allegedly displaying intimate footage of herself and her former boyfriend to patrons at a local bar.

The incident occurred at District 249 Bar & Grill in Tomball, Texas, where Taylor Jewell Richard reportedly showed explicit content of herself and Michael Bassett, which was recorded in his truck. The footage from their Valentine’s Day encounter was allegedly shown to bar customers on March 3, with the apparent intention of causing harm to Bassett.

According to details revealed in the case, Bassett, who operates a diesel maintenance company, had agreed to film the intimate moment at Richard’s request, believing the footage would remain private between them. Their relationship ended shortly after Valentine’s Day, at which point Bassett requested Richard remove the video from her device.

The situation came to light when one of Bassett’s acquaintances spotted Richard showing the footage at the bar, located near Houston, and notified him via Snapchat. While some responses to the incident included teasing and nicknames, including referring to Bassett as “Mickle Pickle,” the consequences proved more serious for his business as some customers withdrew their support.

“I can handle my friends messing with me and whatnot. I can’t handle when I start losing money,” he said.

Richard’s arrest occurred Monday evening, with formal charges following on Wednesday. She faces a felony charge of Unlawful Disclosure of Intimate Visual Material, which carries a potential two-year prison sentence.

The charging document stated: “(Richard) knew that said visual material was created under circumstances in which (Bassett) had a reasonable expectation that said visual material would remain private, and the disclosure of said visual material caused harm to (Bassett), namely by public ridicule and business customer relation damage.”

While released on her own recognizance with instructions to avoid contact with Bassett, Richard attempted to reach him from jail, pleading for the charges to be dismissed.

“She was just like, ‘Are you going to drop the charges?’ And this, that, and the other. I’m like, ‘No, you have a lesson to learn,'” he said.

Bassett concluded by cautioning other young men against creating such recordings, stating, “Tomorrow’s promised to nobody. Your relationship is not promised to you tomorrow and these women out here can be evil.”
