With more evidence of corruption, bribery and money laundering coming to light, first son Hunter Biden wrote an opinion piece calling for Americans to get off his back.
In an attempt to gain public sympathy, the first son —in an opinion piece for USA Today— narrated how he suffered from addiction and survived “ the slow strangle-death grip of addiction.”

Hunter, who is in the spotlight for his influence peddling schemes and corrupt financial practices, claims his addiction and mistake have been politically weaponized to go after his father, President Joe Biden. Hunter suggested that attacks against him in the media, which he labels disinformation against his father—” are about his addiction and not about the growing evidence pointing to his family’s influence peddling.
“My struggles and my mistakes have been fodder for a vile and sustained disinformation campaign against him, and an all-out annihilation of my reputation through high-pitched but fruitless congressional investigations and, more recently, criminal charges for possessing an unloaded gun for 11 days five years ago – charges that appear to be the first-ever of their kind brought in the history of Delaware,” the first son wrote. “What troubles me is the demonization of addiction, of human frailty, using me as its avatar and the devastating consequences it has for the millions struggling with addiction, desperate for a way out and being bombarded by the denigrating and near-constant coverage of me and my addiction.”
Hey Deplorables, Hunter thinks the investigation into him & his father is all about the "demonization of addiction."
How many of you know friends and family who fell into addiction but never engaged in seven-figure bribery schemes with foreign countries? https://t.co/b68TfRCfkb pic.twitter.com/ZiBgIUSa3R

Political columnist and Brietbart Editor Emma-Jo Morris hit back at Hunter’s claims adding that the first son’s accusations insults addicts to deflect from his family’s corruption.
Hunter Biden writes an op-ed in USA Today portraying himself as a victim due as a result criticism on Fox News and New York Post. Uses his addiction as a crutch. The criticism has zero to do with his addiction and everything to do with influence peddling. What a joke.…

“What is actually craven [cowardly] is the Biden scion using the millions of Americans struggling with addiction as shields from legitimate scrutiny, and his shameless effort to exploit the sensitivity of the American people to the topic of addiction for a sinister PR effort,” Morris wrote on Breitbart News. “The first son apparently still thinks the American people are naive – just like he did when he was selling their interest to the Chinese Communist Party and Eastern European oligarchs — and that they will be duped by a sad screed a lot about nothing to do with what Hunter Biden has done and what he is being investigated for.”
Shame on privileged Hunter Biden for exploiting addiction to dodge accountability for his crimes.

Morris, who broke the Hunter Biden’s laptop story, manatied that criticism of the first son for his behavior is not a criticism of addiction or recovery.
“Hunter Biden is not an example of ‘human frailty,’ as he describes himself,” Morris wrote. “Hunter is only an example of an elitist with a cavalier attitude toward exploiting America for his personal benefit. He is exactly the opposite of a symbol of recovery— a process that begins and is sustained by finding God and personal responsibility.”
