Senator Raise Fresh Concern Of Another 9/11 Attack

Daily Report December 18,2023

A prominent senator has raised concerns regarding the country’s security while adding that he has never been more worried about another 9/11 attack.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) raised the fears in a Sunday interview with Kristen Welker on NBC’s “Meet The Press.” The lawmaker maintained that President Joe Biden’s failure to protect the border could see the U.S. suffer terrorist attacks similar to 9/11.

“The border has been obliterated since January ’21 until now,” Graham said. “We’ve had 6 million people come to date. There are 3.6 million on schedule to come this year alone. The policy choices of the Biden administration has made the border a dangerous place to come to. America’s under threat. According to the FBI director since October the 7th, jihadist groups want to attack us because we’re helping Israel. I’ve never been more worried about a 9/11 than I am right now, and our border has been obliterated. And we’re not going to give in on some Band-Aid fix.”

Graham made the remarks while discussing the Senate’s negotiations with the White House on a border package. Graham told NBC that he does not believe a deal can be reached before the end of 2021.

“The White House got engaged five days ago,” he said. “They sent over a supplemental with border security provisions that did nothing to change policy. We’ve been talking to them since September. Five days ago, they finally sat at the table. … The bottom line here is, we feel like we’re being jammed. We’re not anywhere close to a deal. It’ll go into next year.”

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) raised similar concerns last month when discussing the U.S. border crisis on Newsmax TV.

“We’ve had hundreds and hundreds of terrorists come across the border. And you know what? We could care less, not we, the Biden administration, it is going to get us in so much trouble,” Turberville said. “We’re gonna have a 9/11 attack every few weeks if we don’t watch it. It is out of control. But this group could care less.
