Selena Gomez recently spoke out against cosmetic surgery rumors.

The 32-year-old “Only Murders in the Building” star was moved to clap back at a TikTok video this weekend that theorized on how she has looked over time.

In a recently deleted video, content creator Marissa Barrionuevo was asked to list off anything cosmetic that Gomez could have dabbled in.

Throughout the footage first posted in 2023, Barrionuevo advised her fans that lupus really can easily change your look as merely cosmetic treatments.

However, the starlets still weren’t impressed and Gomez was quick to let her frustration known in the comments section of the video.

“Honestly I hate this,” the “Love On” singer wrote. “I was on stripes because of flare up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone.”

Barrionuevo directs followers to Gomez’s comment in the pinned top video where she records an apology message for him.

“I adore you,” she said. “I really do mean the best, so I apologize if this rubbed you the wrong way in any way whatsoever.”

She captioned and said, “Although I always try to lead with grace and mindfulness, I am sorry this upset you (and I understand why it did). I decided to stop making videos like this last year because of the negative impact it can cause. It was never my intention.”

If you recall back in 2014, Gomez was diagnosed with lupus. The “Single Soon” singer had a kidney transplant and then chemotherapy. She has since opened up about the struggles of having lupus.

“I experienced [body-shaming] with my weight fluctuation for the first time,” she said in 2019.

“I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure, so I deal with a lot of health issues, and for me that’s when I really started noticing more of the body image stuff.”
