Secret Service BLAME City Police For Not Securing Outside Perimeter Of Rally – SHOCKING DETAILS

Shooter Daily Report July 16,2024

Law enforcement sources have told the Post a local police counter-sniper team was positioned in the building where Thomas Matthew Crooks tried to assassinate Donald Trump by going up on the roof while firing.

The AGR International Inc. factory in Butler, Pennsylvania was picked as a potential “watch post” for snipers to track possible threats while the ex-president stood on stage just 130 yards away, sources say.

Sources said there were officers within the building but not on the rooftop during the firing.

Crooks, who made it through security unnoticed, used an AR-style assault rifle to fire eight shots, grazing Trump’s ear and killing one supporter. As Crooks shot at Trump, the local police counter-sniper team was housed inside that building.

The revelation follows a local outlet, WPXI reporting that Crooks was seen on the building 26 minutes before he started shooting — with one cop from the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit even snapping a photo of the gunman just moments prior to shots being discharged.

Law enforcement sources said it was unknown as of Monday night whether those local officers — who were assigned to the outer perimeter outside the Butler County Farm Show grounds — had any chance to alert Secret Service agents about that shooter.

The structure from which Crooks fired was mere 130 feet away, and had a clean line of sight to the stage Trump spoke on.

A Butler City police dispatcher told The Post that the Pennsylvania State Police were responsible for securing the AGR grounds. The state police did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

Police sources have said the building was cleared by cops before it began, and that the local sniper team had set up in part of the huge manufacturing site for surveillance purposes but they did not go on top due a fear it could interfere with secret service snipers.

Video of the rally seemed to show men from a Secret Service counter-sniper team, who eventually killed Crooks, pointing weapons at him well before he opened fire on Clinton (though it was not clear whether they saw him).
