Secret Service Allegedly WARNED Of Trump Assassin And Did NOTHING

Daily Report July 18,2024

The news of the attack on Trump spread quickly, leading to a higher level of security at the Republican National Convention. Despite the increased security, many attendees commented that the “lack of trust in the Secret Service is palpable.”

“If I were a Secret Service member, I’d be ashamed. I’d be embarrassed,” Shawn Steel, an RNC delegate from California and the convention’s sergeant-at-arms, told The Post.

“And they are, and you can sense it, feel it. These are guys in the street wearing the big jacket that says ‘Secret Service.’ It’s not a badge of honor. It’s a badge of shame,” he added.

This skepticism comes after agents were unable to prevent 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks from firing at the former president during a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said the roof’s slope might have something to do with not placing an agent there. The Secret Service fired on Crooks after the attempt, and quickly apprehended him before he could harm Trump further.

In several statements following the assassination attempt, Trump thanked the Secret Service.

Meanwhile, Steel insisted that the security around the RNC is good, as “there’s thousands of volunteers that are helping with security” and “we have a very sophisticated ID system and badges.”

When Trump walked on the convention floor Monday, his Secret Service detail was all male – a departure from the mixed-gender team that preceded him there Saturday. After the attempted assassination, President Biden has secretly asked Trump to use a Secret Service within reach around-the-clock.
