Donald Trump walked into the massive arena in Milwaukee on the first night of the Republican National Convention sporting a giant white bandage over the ear where an assassin’s bullet had gone spiraling only 48 hours before.
As he gestured to his injury, the crowd erupted into chants of “USA! USA! USA!”
The chills went up the spines of party faithful when he pumped his fist at echoes from his Saturday rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
As he sat down in the VIP box next to his new VP pick J.D. Vance, they chanted back on of his newly discovered warcry “Fight, fight, fight.”
The speakers that night represented the sort of invitation Trump was extending to his returning prodigal sons and daughters nationwide, calling them home into a party he had built in his image — one not just willing but eager at every turn to put America first. The big tent will include all – Democrats, independents, Never-Trumpers.
During the Republican National Convention Trump also appointed his VP nominee, JD Vance. He moved to the forefront of the political landscape after he wrote his bestselling memoir “Hillbilly Elegy” which details his upbringing in Rust Belt USA.
“Something is wrong with this country and we need to say it out loud,” he said imploring his “ friends on the Democratic side to embrace collaboration… Working people know our system is broken… There is a political caste system… Inflation is hurting working Americans.”
“This has got to change,” Vance continued.
In response to the speakers, the crowd could be heard chanting “We Love Trump.”
