Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Annemarie Wiley has revealed she was terminated from the Bravo series due to her conservative political stance. During an interview on OutKick’s Tomi Lahren is Fearless, Wiley, who is married to former NFL player and sportscaster Marcellus Wiley, discussed the circumstances surrounding her departure.

The controversy began when an old video clip emerged showing her husband expressing opposition to biological males participating in women’s sports. According to Wiley, this led to significant backlash. The nurse anesthetist also faced criticism for speaking out against Balenciaga’s controversial 2022 advertising campaign that featured children.

Speaking about the cultural climate in Los Angeles, Wiley described encountering hostility towards conservative viewpoints. She explained how terms like “bigot” and “transphobic” are weaponized to intimidate those with differing opinions into silence.

Despite the apparent liberal dominance in Hollywood, Wiley revealed there exists a substantial underground conservative presence. She noted that many individuals privately supported Trump while publicly maintaining a different political stance to protect their careers and business interests.

“I think there’s this overarching theme in Hollywood that you have to be a Democrat, and beyond that, you have to go along with their ideologies — no matter how ludicrous, and insane, and nonsensical they are.

I will tell you that there are issues that some of them did agree with me about. They’ll never say that publicly — and they said that they won’t say it publicly — but there are issues that they would agree with. There’s this theme in Hollywood, like people know you have to conform to these ideologies, whether you agree with them or not, otherwise you will be canceled, like I was.”

However, Wiley observed a shifting cultural landscape following Trump’s decisive victory in the 2024 election. She suggested that public appetite for conservative perspectives in mainstream media is growing, noting a decrease in anti-Republican rhetoric.

The former reality TV star recently attended President Trump’s Black History Month celebration at the White House, which she described as an uplifting experience surrounded by welcoming, intelligent, and open-minded individuals.
