Officer Convicted Of Killing George Floyd: ‘The Whole Trial Was A sham’

Daily Report November 21,2023

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin spoke out for the first time since being locked up for killing Gorge Floyd, insisting that his trial was a sham.
Chauvin was found guilty of killing Floyd after prosecutors claimed that the police officer’s restraining tactics caused Floyd’s death. Chauvin, who is currently serving 21 years for the 2020 death of George Floyd, told journalist Liz Collin that he and other police officers had been trained to use the tactics.

The former police officer, in a phone interview with Collin, revealed that the ambulance took too long to respond while adding that it was abnormal for the ambulance to take that long to respond. Chauvin also noted that Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) took 20 minutes to respond even though there had been an ambulance bay just eight blocks away.

Collin is making a crowdfunded documentary that sheds light on the allegation that the FBI altered Floyd’s autopsy to make it appear as if Chauvin’s restraints had killed Floyd. The documentary also gives credence to Chauvin’s training claims, with multiple Minneapolis police officers all saying Chauvin was using a technique he’d been trained to use when he restrained Floyd.

Chauvin’s mother also showed Collin her son’s training manuals that showed illustrations of police officers kneeling on a suspect’s shoulder blade to restrain him.
New evidence backing claims that Floyd’s autopsy was manipulated came out last month. Former Fox News Host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson revealed Floyd’s autopsy proved that he did not die as a result of Chauvin’s restraint.

According to Carlson, Hennepin County Prosecutor Amy Sweasy —who is in the midst of a lawsuit against her boss— claimed in her deposition that her boss manipulated the autopsy because he was afraid of the public backlash.

“He said to me, ‘Amy, what happens when the actual evidence doesn’t match up with the public narrative that everyone’s already decided on?’ … and then he said, ‘This is the kind of case that ends careers,’” the deposition reads.

Sweasy added that Dr. Andrew Baker, who conducted Floyd’s autopsy, told her that the results contradicted the public’s narrative.
