New financial records are expected to show transactions from Russia and Ukraine to the Biden family. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) made the revelation during an interview on Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson.
During the show, Ferguson called Comer’s attention to the fact that the Biden family’s links to shady financial transactions have not been widely discussed.
“I want to know what countries so far you can name for sure,” said Ferguson. “And there’s one country that hasn’t been talked about a lot — and that’s Russia.”
Comer initially declined to comment on Ferguson’s words while telling the host to “stay tuned.”
“Stay tuned?” Cruz said while pressing his Republican colleague for more information. You want to break news, but this a podcast, you gotta, you gotta show a little leg here, James.”
Comer responded, saying Congress has obtained more bank records as his committee continues to investigate the Biden family’s foreign deals.
“We have more bank records that we’ve received,” Comer responded. “We’re working on a third memorandum. They will show transactions from Ukraine and Russia.”

Ferguson also noted that the Bidens have received money from Russian oligarchs, with Hunter Biden allegedly receiving a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the richest woman in Russia. Baturina is also the widow of Yury Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow.
Ferguson pointed to the fact that the U.S. has sanctioned several Russian oligarchs amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. However, those Russian oligarchs who gave the Bidens money have always escaped sanctions.

“I think certain policy decisions that Joe Biden has made since he’s been president, that the only explanation can be because of the money his family received,” Comer responded. “And the fact that those oligarchs sent the money to the Bidens and they were the two oligarchs left off the sanction list would lead one to believe that the reason why they were left off the sanction list is because they have paid the Biden family in the past.”
