As the presidential election season nears its end, Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is attempting to rekindle the initial enthusiasm that propelled her to the top of polls when she first took over President Biden’s re-election bid in July.
This effort to recapture lost momentum is evident in a recent social media post by NBA star LeBron James on Halloween:
“What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”

/div>James’s support for Harris is unsurprising, given his history of endorsing left-leaning candidates. However, his campaign pitch for the Democratic nominee appears superficial and misleading.
The X video shared by James is notably lacking in direct appearances of former President Trump, the Republican nominee. Instead, it relies on images of civil rights activists and immigrants, biased media headlines, and out-of-context quotes from Trump.
Lebron James, who will never be as good as Jordan, just took a bunch of Trump soundbites, stitched them together completely out of context, then layered them over racially charged images that have literally nothing to do with Trump, and then posted the whole thing on IG.

Critics argue that James, a wealthy celebrity living comfortably in Los Angeles, may not fully understand the average voter’s concerns. This disconnect is seen as a reason why the message may not resonate with many Americans.
LeBron James is the latest Diddy party participant to officially endorse Kamala Harris.
LeBron famously said: “There's no party like a Diddy party.”
He’s obviously trying to protect himself.
Hopefully when Trump wins he will release the Diddy files and hold these people… pic.twitter.com/29a1xPmR2O

Social media users quickly criticized James’s post, accusing him of spreading misinformation and stoking racial division. Some pointed out the questionable comparison between civil rights activists and immigrants, while others highlighted the selective editing of Trump’s quotes.
Interestingly, James’s political activism comes as his NBA team, the Lakers, faces a losing streak. The team will soon face the Toronto Raptors in an attempt to improve their current record.
Since LeBron James is trending on 𝕏 for endorsing Kamala Harris, here he is with P Diddy saying:
“Ain’t no Party like a Diddy Party” 🤔
