Lara Trump Details The HORRIFIC Assassination Attempt – “Scars The Memory”

Daily Report July 17,2024

The Republican National Convention lit up the Milwaukee, Wisconsin arena on its second night Tuesday, as former GOP challengers of Donald Trump — now the official party nominee for president — delivered powerful speeches.

Former South Carolina Governor, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy each took their turn on the stage at what the theme of the night was “Make America Safe Once Again.”

Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law and co-chair of the RNC, Lara Trump, also took to the stage to recount the chilling event that occurred on Saturday when a sniper shot at a Pennsylvania Trump rally, forcing her to turn her youngsters away from the television.

The event emotionally impacted Lara, and she stated, “none of that prepares you as a daughter-in-law to watch in real-time someone try to kill a person you love.”

“None of that prepares you as a mother to quickly reach for the remote and turn your young children away from the screen so that they’re not witness to something that scars the memory of their grandpa for the rest of their lives,” she said.

Lara Trump stated the prayers and support the family has received are “incredible.” She also called her father-in-law “a lion” and “precisely what this country requires right now.”

Senator Marco Rubio later paid respects to “veteran” Corey Comperatore, who was killed in the sniper incident on Saturday at President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.

“He lost his life the way he lived it: a hero,” Rubio said, as the delegates and attendees applauded.

“We are all descendants of ordinary people who achieved extraordinary things,” he added, name-checking now-vice presidential nominee JD Vance, whose bestselling memoir “Hillbilly Elegy” tells the story of his rise from a hardscrabble childhood in Ohio to a US Marine and Yale Law School graduate.

Corey Comperatore, the spectator who lost his life, was a volunteer firefighter and a father of two who covered his family when gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks entered the fire at the Butler Farm Show grounds. Crooks’ gunfire struck Trump in the right ear, while two other individuals were hit.
