Popular podcaster and host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” Joe Rogan has described the Justice Department’s persecution of former President Donald Trump as the “actions of a banana republic.”
Rogan made the comments during Thursday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” adding that Trump’s latest indictment would galvanize his supporters. Rogan noted Trump’s supporters already feel that the former president’s indictments are witch hunts.

“Not only does it not work, but it kind of hardens their (Trump’s supporters) position that he’s being targeted. And these are like the actions of a banana republic,” Rogan said.
Rogan pointed to the DOJ’s double standard while adding that President Joe Biden is guilty of the same offenses Trump was charged with in the classified document case.
“You take your political rival and you arrest him and specifically, you charge him with things that you’re… guilty of, like the documents, like the classified documents, Biden’s guilty of the exact same issue,” Rogan added.
President Trump just posted a new statement on Truth Social about his arraignment in DC today.
He said it’s a great honor that he’s getting arrested today for challenging the stolen 2020 election because he’s being arrested for fighting for all of us.

Trump appeared before a Washington D.C. federal court on Thursday, where he was arraigned on four charges related to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 investigation. The former president pleaded not guilty to Conspiracy to Defraud the United States, Conspiracy Against Rights, Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding and Obstruction of an Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding.
While speaking to reporters outside the Reagan National Airport following his court appearance, Trump said his latest indictment is a “persecution of political opponent.”
“This is a very sad day for America,” Trump said. “This is a persecution of a political opponent. This was never supposed to happen in America.”
Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, told reporters outside the courthouse that the timing of the indictment was not a coincidence.
“The fact that I am standing here for the third time in five months is not a coincidence,” Habba said. “This is the Biden political lawfare that we have seen time and time again. It is a deflection from everything that they have done.”
Habba maintained that Trump’s indictment is “election interference at its finest.” the attorney added that Trump is “under siege in a way that we have never seen before.”
