A salon owner in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is experiencing a significant client exodus after posting a controversial TikTok video criticizing Trump supporters. Tiffney Prickett, who owns Voiage Salon, sparked outrage when she labeled Trump supporters as “racist, homophobic, and misogynistic.”

“Trump basically gave small men the ability and the courage to be misogynistic and hateful and say s–t like ‘Your body, my choice’ and ‘You won’t have a choice’ and ‘You will bear my child whether you like it or not,'” Prickett declared in her initial video.

“The comments are so gross. The things men say to women are so gross. And I don’t know why more men don’t come to the defense of women. I don’t know why men witness aggression towards women and stand idly by and do nothing. I don’t understand,” she continued.

The 40-year-old divorced mother of three expressed frustration about men’s passive response to misogynistic behavior. “I don’t understand why more men don’t have the courage to stick up to these small men who think they can do whatever they want and say whatever they want to women. And I’m just f–king sick of it,” she stated.

The consequences were swift in the conservative state. One longtime client’s husband demanded a refund for pre-purchased gift cards, leading Prickett to create another video addressing the situation. Despite their 15-year relationship, which included attending family functions and exchanging gifts, Prickett remained steadfast in her position.

She clarified that her issue wasn’t with Republicans in general, but specifically with those who support policies that she believes infringe on human rights. As more clients departed, Prickett remained defiant, stating she would “rather go work at Chipotle” than accommodate Trump supporters in her salon.

Following the controversy, Prickett’s business website appears to have gone offline, while she continues to lose clients “like flies.” She maintains that the disagreement isn’t about political opinions but rather fundamental moral differences.
