Breitbart News politics editor Emma-Jo Morris said U.S. Attorney David Weiss should recuse himself from the ongoing Hunter Biden investigation amid the backlash surrounding the prosecutor’s appointment as special counsel in the investigation.
Morris, who first broke the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020, told Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that Weiss should recuse himself from the case because his credibility has been destroyed before the American people.

“I think that it’s probably fair to say that David Weiss should recuse himself,” Morris told host Maria Bartiromo. “I mean, after what we have seen with the investigation that he’s been doing over the past few years, what he’s come up with from that, and then his credibility just being destroyed in the eyes of the American people by these whistleblowers. I think that that would probably be appropriate.”
David Weiss is a fact witness to the attempted cover up of the Biden family’s years of corruption. No way should he continue to pretend he’s investigating it.

During the show, host Bartiromo suggested that Weiss’ appointment could interfere with the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the Biden family’s illicit financial dealings.
It’s like putting the fox in charge of the hen house to appoint David Weiss special counsel – the very US attorney who approved Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal and oversaw an investigation that protected the president and allowed the statute of limitations on the most serious… https://t.co/1ILmQwProy

Morris agreed with Bartiromo’s suggestion but added that the committee’s investigation would be better served if Congress opened an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
Morris revealed that opening an impeachment inquiry into President Biden would allow the House more subpoena power and take the committee’s investigation from a legislative purpose to prosecution.
“And I think that that would allow the House to obtain the documents and really get to the heart of this issue, which is what we have all been wondering and why John and I and you are sitting here right now, which is, what is Joe Biden’s involvement in the business?” Morris said.
While Morris conceded that an impeachment inquiry might not necessarily lead to Biden’s impeachment, she maintained that Joe Biden’s alleged involvement in a $10 million bribery scheme is grounds for impeachment.

Joe Biden is accused of coercing Ukraine energy firm Burisma’s top executive into paying a $10 million bribe. Biden, who was the vice president at the time, received $5 million from the alleged bribe, while Hunter received the other half.
