Hamas Releases First Batch Of Israeli Hostages

Daily Report November 26,2023

Hamas on Friday released the first batch of hostages it took from Israel during the Oct. 7 attack.

The terror organization released a total of 26 hostages, including 13 Israeli women and children, 12 Thai hostages and one Filipino hostage. Israel, on the other hand, released 39 Palestinian terror convicts, all women or teenagers.

The prisoner exchange comes after the Israeli government and the international terror group agreed to a 4-day humanitarian pause on hostilities. The deal will see Hamas release 50 hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners held by the Jewish State.

The Israeli government did not immediately reveal the identities of the hostages. However, the Time of Israel reported the names of the hostages released The Israeli hostages include, Hanna Katzir, 77; Margalit Mozes, 77; Yafa Ader, 85; Hannah Perry, 79; Adina Moshe, 72; Danielle Aloni, 44; Emilia Aloni, 9; Ruthi Mondar, 78; Keren Mondar, 54; Ohad Mondar, 9; Aviv Asher, 2; Raz Asher, 5; and Doron Katz-Asher, 34.

Hamas’ failure to include American Hostages left many displeased with Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) stating that their unconditional release should be of higher priority.

“It’s appalling that 9 Americans kidnapped and held hostage by Hamas for over six weeks are still in captivity and not among those released today,” Phillips wrote on X. “There should be no higher priority, no lever unpulled, and no means excluded to ensure their immediate and unconditional release.”

President Joe Biden has also come under fire for failing to pressure the terror group to release the Americans it is holding hostage. Biden during a press conference admitted to not knowing when the American hostages would be released.

“We don’t know when that will occur but we expect it to occur,” Biden said when asked about the release of American Hostages. “We don’t know what the list of all the hostages are and when they will be released. But we know that numbers are going to be released. It is mu hope and expectation that it will be soon.”
