The reporter who broke the Hunter Biden laptop story said the U.S. government institutions have no credibility due to their role in censoring her bombshell report in October 2020.

Breitbart politics editor Emma-Jo Morris broke the New York Times story that detailed how Hunter peddled influence through his father, President Joe Biden. However, social media companies —with help from the U.S. intelligence community— soon censored the story on their platform and cubed its reach.
Fifty-one former intelligence officials —including John Brennan, the CIA director under President Obama, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper— signed a letter falsely claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation. Brenan has since testified before Congress that the letter was political.
Morris, while speaking on this week’s broadcast of FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” described the former intelligence officials’ letter as “surreal” and “scandalous.” Morris said she laughed hard when she first read the Politico headline on the letter because the idea was ridiculous and beyond parody.
“We all know it. There’s this thing that we have to, I guess, pretend to take that claim (the letter) seriously,” Morris said. “But I think that the reason why people so resonated with that is because our institutions have zero credibility, like, zero credibility. And yet everybody in Washington and New York and in the establishment walks around pretending that these are serious people, and I just couldn’t do that.”

Morris testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government last week. During her testimony, she revealed that the FBI knew Hunter’s laptop was real as early as November 2019.
“We know that the FBI knew that it was real. They knew is real since not just December 2019…which is when the subpoena that I published is from,” Morris said during her appearance before lawmakers. We published the subpoena, and they had already confirmed [that] the laptop was real and ‘not manipulated in any way’ in November of 2019 — a month before they actually obtained the laptop to keep, which is when they gave that subpoena to John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the Mac store, where Hunter Biden forgot the laptop.”
