Former White House Press Sec Opens Up On Hunter

Daily Report December 19,2023

President Joe Biden’s White House may be on a collision course with first son Hunter Biden, according to former Biden White House press secretary and MSNBC host Jen Psaki.

Hunter shocked the world when he defied a Congressional subpoena last week and demanded that he would only testify in a public hearing.

Psaki, while responding to Hunter’s action, told NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the White House wants Hunter to stop talking.

“Look, I think If you’re sitting in the White House right now, you’re like, ‘Please, Hunter Biden, we know your dad loves you. Please stop talking in public.’ This is not helpful to any of them for him to be out there but at the same time, the president loves his son. That takes precedence over anything else. That is appealing,” Psaki said. “He loves his son, he loves his family family and he’s worried about his mental health, but yes the White House would like him to probably go away right now.”

Fox News legal analyst Andy McCarthy responded to Psaki’s comments during a Monday appearance on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” McCarthy maintained that Hunter’s legal troubles would crush President Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election ambitions.

“Yeah, I think they’ve already collided,” McCarthy said of Hunter’s legal trouble and Joe Biden’s re-election chances. “I mean, the time to worry about what Jen Psaki is talking about was before Hunter got indicted when they were trying to make that whole case go away. But now, obviously, he’s indicted in not one, but two cases. … He’s going to be out there publicly, as is his lawyer, speaking. And that’s going to be excruciating for the president.”

Special Counsel David Weiss recently indicted Hunter Biden on nine charges stemming from his failure to pay his taxes. Weiss also indicted his first son on three felony gun charges in Delaware in September. He faces a maximum prison sentence of ten years for two of the offenses and another offense holds a maximum of five years.
