Elon Musk Visits Site Where Hamas Committed Oct. 7 Attacks

Daily Report November 28,2023

Owner of Tesla and X social media platform Elon Musk on Monday went to Israel to visit the site where Hamas committed its terror act on Oct.7.

Musk, alongside Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, visited a kibbutz in southern Israel, where he witnessed the horrors Hamas committed on civilians. The billionaire viewed the burnt and destroyed homes in the kibbutz near the Gaza border and saw the burnt homes.

Musk reportedly watched a 44-minute video showing Hamas killings and destruction on Oct. 7. The videos showed Hamas murdering, burning, assaulting and beheading innocent Israeli civilians.

Musk and Netanyahu later made a joint appearance in an X space, where they discussed what the billionaire saw during the visit.

“It was jarring to see the scene of the massacres as well as to see the short film afterwards that showed more of innocent people getting killed,” Musk said in the X Space. “It was troubling in that movie, especially to see the joy experienced by people that were killing innocent civilians, including kids and babies and defenseless people essentially. It’s one thing if, obviously, if civilians die, accidentally, but it’s another thing to revel in the joy of killing civilians. That’s evil.”

The Oct. 7 attack prompted a retaliation from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) with multiple airstrikes conducted on various Hamas strongholds in Gaza. However, many Palestinian lives were lost as a result of the strikes. Many anti-Israel advocates have used the casualties as justification for what Hamas did. Musk, who is currently embroiled in antisemitism accusations, maintains that there is a glaring difference between Hamas and Israeli attitudes towards civilian casualties.

“The rebuttal is often made, ‘Well, Israel has killed civilians in Gaza,’ but there is an important difference here, which is that Israel tries to avoid killing civilians, doing everything it can to avoid killing civilians,” Musk said.
