Donald Trump ATTACKS Harris-Walz Democratic Ticket

Daily Report August 10,2024

On Friday, former President Donald Trump went after the Democratic ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for campaigning on a “fake record” during his campaign rally in Montana.

Trump did not arrive at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman until an hour and a half after his speech was scheduled to start due to mechanical issues with his plane, but he wasted no time ripping into some of those vying for 2024.

“So when you’re commander in chief, you don’t go to the run and hide away from the press,” Trump said, referencing Harris’ refusal to give media interviews or hold a press conference.

“You know, they run and they wanna go on a record that’s a fake record. They have a fake record, both of them,” he continued, talking about Harris and Walz.

“How ’bout the new guy? How do you like him?” Trump asked the crowd, which responded with boos.

“If you can’t do a press conference you cannot be president,” the former president later said, in another swipe at Harris.

Then Trump called the vice president, 59, “dumb” and insisted President Biden, 81 is more intelligent than she but that Democrats lacked the guts to push her off of it.

The rally was one of two Trump held in Montana, the other a fundraiser for Representative Tim Sheehy who is looking to unseat incumbent Democrat Senator Jon Tester on November 6th as both political parties vie for control of Congress after next week’s Midterm elections.

With the Senate split 51-49 in favor of Democrats, adding Montana would be a considerable boost for their total.

Trump, in his speech, called Tester “radical,” “terrible.” Tester still trails Sheehy, 48%-46%, according to a recent Emerson College Polling/The Hill survey.

Trump remains popular in Montana, having secured double-digit margins of victory there both in the 2016 and the 2020 presidential elections.
