Donald Trump Announces His OFFICIAL White House Team – Including His Family

Former President Donald Trump Friday announced his White House transition team, naming the top figures who will drive day-one preparations for his administration.

Others will serve as honorary chairs for the team, which will be co-chaired by Linda McMahon and Howard Lutnick. His vice president, Ohio Senator JD Vance as well as his eldest sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump are among those people.

Linda McMahon, a former professional wrestling performer who ran twice for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut and helped found the WWE franchise that made her father-in-law Vince McMahon millions of dollars, served as Small Business Administration administrator during Trump’s first term.

She would later go on to chair the super PAC America First Action. Billionaire Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick is a longtime Trump backer, having previously hosted fundraisers for him in the 2024 cycle and earlier this fall.

Trump’s adult children, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — who have stepped in to take over management of their father’s company while he is president-elect but are still deeply involved with his campaign—will also be major players on the team.

Eric Trump, who spoke on behalf of his father at the Republican National Convention, will bring to bear his significant campaign experience.

Donald Trump Jr., whom Politico reported was angling for a “veto power” over prospective hires in any presidential administration — now gets it.

A presidential transition team is essential for organizing a new administration by reviewing prospective leaders, crafting policy proposals and laying the groundwork at the White House to hit the ground running on day one of governing.

Trump’s transition team, doing business as Trump Vance 2025 Transition Inc., is set up as a separate entity from his campaign.

Trump also said in a statement he knows the style that his team will guarantee to implement their commitments, proclaiming “The 2024 GOP Platform for Making America Great Again is an aspiring plan which offers security, success and independence for the American people.”
