Democrat Claims No Evidence Biden Knew What Hunter Was Doing

Daily Report July 28,2023

Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) said there is no evidence that President Joe Biden knew what his son was doing with his international deals.

Himes made the claim in a Friday interview on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” despite several pieces of evidence, including an FBI FD-1023 form detailing bribery allegations against the president and his son.

“To the question about impeachment, there’s today zero evidence, zero evidence that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, knew about what his son was doing,” Himes said. “If he did know about it, if he participated in that, then that’s a very different conversation. If the president of the United States committed the kind of offenses that in the Republican fever dreams they are saying he committed without any evidence, I will be in front of the camera saying the president should be held accountable.”

House Republicans have conducted several hearings and investigations into the Bidens. During the investigations, Republicans discovered several bank accounts that the Bidens allegedly used for money laundering.

Chairman House Oversight Committee Rep. James Comer (R-KY) revealed that six banks, including JP Morgan, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo, submitted over 170 suspicious activity reports to the Treasury Department regarding the Biden family. The reports alleged that the Bidens were involved in money laundering, human trafficking, and tax fraud.

Despite mounting evidence against the president and his family, Himes still believes the president is innocent. The Democrat lawmaker accused House Republicans of investigating the Bidens because they were angry about former President Donald Trump’s impeachment.

“What the Republicans are doing is they are very, very angry that their guy got impeached twice so they are casting about for a ways of visiting retribution on the Democrats,” Himes added.

However, Himes noted that Hunter Biden broke the rule in regard to his taxes and gun possession.

“He should be held accountable for that. If he traded on his father’s influence, he should be held accountable for that,” Himes said.
