House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has written a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) demanding President Joe Biden’s records on the then-vice president’s communications and duties that overlapped with his Hunter’s business activities in Ukraine.

The corruption allegations against President Biden took another dramatic turn when reports emerged that the president used the pseudonym “Robert L. Peters” in business discussions with his son.
Comer made the revelation in his letter to NARA on Thursday. The lawmaker demanded that the agency provide all unredacted records and communications regarding Biden’s official duties as vice president relating to his discussion with Hunter regarding Ukraine.
Comer specifically asked for an unredacted document showing all Joe Biden’s communications as vice president in which Hunter Biden, Robert L. Peters, Eric Schwerin and Devon Archer are copied.

According to the Daily Mail, Comer wants Nara to provide an unredacted document detailing then-vice President Biden’s call with Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko on May 27, 2016. In his letter, Comer revealed that the document was emailed to “Robert L. Peters,” a name believed to be Joe Biden’s pseudonym.
“It is concerning to the Committee, however, that this document was sent to ‘Robert L. Peters’ — a pseudonym the Committee has identified as then-vice President Biden,” the letter reads. “Additionally, the Committee questions why the then-Vice President’s son, Hunter Biden — and only Hunter Biden — was copied on this email to then-Vice President Biden. To further our investigation, the Committee needs to review these documents in their
original format. The Committee also requests access to certain other documents and information described below. Please provide these documents no later than August 31, 2023.”
Comer’s letter added to a long list of House GOP’s efforts to uncover alleged corruption and influence peddling within the Biden family.
President Biden has continued denying any involvement with his family’s foreign business dealings. However, witness testimony, emails from Hunter’s laptop and an FBI informant file have all pointed to the president’s involvement in his family business.
The FBI informant form showed that while he was vice president, Joe Biden took a $5 million loan from the head of Ukraine energy firm Burisma in 2015.
