ICE Announces Arrests in Chicago Shooting

This shooting, which involved Venezuelan nationals, resulted in three deaths and multiple injuries. Suspects and Evidence

Ricardo Granadillo Padilla, age 25, was detained in Raleigh, North Carolina in February. His prior convictions included illegal entry into the U.S. in 2022. A search of his Chicago residence uncovered firearms, high-capacity magazines, narcotics, and fraudulent identification documents, heightening concerns over the gang’s influence.

Edward Martinez Cermeno, a 24-year-old also from Venezuela, was arrested in Schaumburg, Illinois, facing charges for illegal presence in the country. Initially released, Cermeno’s subsequent re-arrest on immigration violations underscores the gravity of the situation.
