Hedge fund executive and billionaire Bill Ackman has indicated that he is likely to support former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election over President Joe Biden.
Ackman, who has constantly been vocal about his dislike for Biden and his policies, indicated his support for Trump following the former president’s guilty verdict on Thursday in his hush money trial.

The 58-year-old billionaire commented on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) reaction to Trump’s guilty verdict in the case.
“I think any objective person would have to agree with @GovRonDeSantis here,” Ackman wrote.
DeSantis had earlier claimed that the legal process that led to Trump’s guilty verdict was politically motivated and biased, driven by a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury.
DeSantis also argued that if the defendant were not Trump, the case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict.
Ackman previously financed Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s (AIP) presidential campaign and Republican Nikki Haley’s failed bid for the White House.

Ackman’s support will most certainly boost Trump’s campaign as other Wall Street executives have supported the former president.
According to Fox News, CEO of Blackstone Group Steve Schwarzman, who turned his back on Trump in the past, has also expressed support for the former president.
“I share the concern of most Americans that our economic, immigration and foreign policies are taking the country in the wrong direction,” Schwarzman said. “For these reasons, I am planning to vote for change and support Donald Trump for President. In addition, I will be supporting Republican Senate candidates and other Republicans up and down the ticket.”
Schwarzman, who was against the idea of Trump running for president again, said it was time for the GOP to look in a new direction.
“America does better when its leaders are rooted in today and tomorrow, not today and yesterday,” Schwarzman said. “It is time for the Republican Party to turn to a new generation of leaders, and I intend to support one of them in the presidential primaries.”
