Barack Obama And Nancy Pelosi Withdrawal Support For Biden 2024 – Dems BREAKING

Daily Report July 20,2024

Top Democrats, including former President Barack Obama and ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have reportedly recommended the White House to think of an exit strategy for 81-year-old Joe Biden.

“Can we all just remember for a minute that these same people who are trying to push Joe Biden out are the same people who literally gave us all Donald Trump?” a source close to Biden scoffed to NBC News.

Polls that NBC had highlighted before the 2016 presidential election showed then-Secretary of State Clinton up by as much as nine points in some places, a source pointed out.

“How did all this work out for everyone in 2016? Perhaps we should learn a few lessons from 2016; one of them is polls are BS — just ask Secretary Clinton. And two, maybe, just maybe, Joe Biden is more in touch with actual Americans than Obama-Pelosi-Schumer?” they ranted.

However, several top Democrats believe Biden is under so much pressure to retreat that he will eventually give in — as Axios’ Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen reported Thursday.

New Mexico Senator Martin Heinrich on Friday became the third senator to urge Biden to “pass the torch” and drop out.

“Joe Biden is one of the most accomplished presidents in modern history,” he said. “However, this moment in our nation’s history calls for a focus that is bigger than any one person.”

Senators Peter Welch (D-VT) and Jon Tester (D-MT) are other prominents leaders calling for Biden to withdraw.

Concerns over Biden’s capability to serve as commander in chief were exacerbated after the initial presidential debate, during which he repeatedly became confused and mumbled incoherently.

Biden has since suspended his campaign this week after testing positive for COVID-19. But, speculation continues to grow as a photograph of him disembarking the Air Force One in Delaware Wednesday night made him look genuinely frail and weak.

If Biden were to step down, it’s assumed that Vice President Kamala Harris would be his successor.

A source told The Post “she has been a loyal VP” and Biden likely would back Harris if he dropped out.
