Arizona Rancher Believes Harris’ Border Run Is For Last Minute Votes

Daily Report September 27,2024

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to visit Arizona at the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday, but questions are arising over her motives.

Donald Trump constructed the wall and enforced our immigration laws. “Day one — she shuts the wall and lets illegal immigration come through,” said Tyler Klump, whose Douglas cattle ranch is a well-worn path from Mexico. In an interview with The Post, he questioned Harris’s candor.

Klump thinks the Democratic presidential candidate is just “pretending to play tough as we near an election.” Harris’ scheduled trip to the desolate border region in Douglas is part of her presidential campaign.

When she was selected to serve in the Biden administration, Harris was given the responsibility of addressing “root causes of migration,” so as to stem off illegal crossings. But Klump contends millions of illegal migrants have come in across the border on her watch. “With illegal immigrants where she is either doing it on purpose or automatically hurting our country,” he said.

And Harris, who has pointed to her time in law enforcement in a “border state” as California’s attorney general and district attorney for San Francisco to emphasize the work she did working on and targeting drug cartels throughout her campaign.

She’s also voted in favor of a border bill designed to boost funding for Border Patrol agents and the wall earlier this year that wasn’t enacted. But she has gone to the border only once as vice president, vising El Paso, Texas last month. The Post also spoke to sources from Border Patrol who said they had been instructed to scrub the spot down for her visit in order to hide just how bad the border crisis actually is.

When The Post went to Klump’s ranch for a visit in August, after the smuggling — linked to a group that opposes federal control of public lands — the grounds were littered with trash. The lush ranch was littered with abandoned plastic water bottles, backpacks, carpet shoes that helped the migrants hide their footprints and ladders that were dropped over the border wall.

Sometimes, it is eaten by his herd of cattle and can sicken or kill the animals. This earthen dam burst has killed my cattle. “People lost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Biden-Harris administration has seen a recent reduction in the number of illegal migrant crossings thanks to new restrictions on asylum access. The Border Patrol registered some 83,000 migrant encounters in June, 56,000 in July and at least 58,000 for August — a far cry from the nearly 250,000 recorded in December.

Before this reduction, the Biden-Harris administration had overseen record illegal immigrants crossing the southern border: 1.3 million migrants who entered through a flight or sought entry at a port of entry via an appointment app.

But even with the decrease in crossings as of late, Klump said he still sees smuggling through his community. Foot traffic was higher than it had ever been, he said earlier.

Kamala, you’re not helping anything,” Klump said in a direct message to Harris. You’re hurting us.” “Same with all the Rest,” he added of other drugs that stand to continue heading north, through different routes and embedded in ever more inventive products — driven by a pandemic demand for all things carry-out. “More Red Ink for YO United Snakes Pass Back Home.”

Truth be told, the Sinaloa cartel has a strong influence on the Arizona border and supplies much if not most of the illicit fentanyl that makes its way into America. This year alone, Arizona accounted for 50% of the fentanyl seized from across the entire United States.
